Project Overview

What is the scope of this project?

The intent of the project is to improve safety, increase capacity, and address operational deficiencies at the Mt. Support Road/Lahaye Drive intersection. The project involves the construction of a roundabout to replace the current underperforming signalized intersection. Work includes limited roadway widening, curbing, drainage adjustments, lighting adjustments, utility relocation, extension of a 1,200+/--foot-long multi-use path along Mt. Support Road to the north, and landscaping. The project is currently in the final engineering phase. The project is funded through a Special Assessment District established by the City in conjunction with nearby abutters and stakeholders.

How long is this going to take?

Project construction is expected to begin in the Summer of 2024 and will continue through the Spring of 2025, with likely a winter shutdown. (Please note that this schedule is dependent upon securing all required permits, required easements, and required utility relocation in a timely manner.)

Which streets are involved?

Streets involved/impacted are:

  • Lahaye Drive
  • Mt. Support Road
