Problem Oriented Policing Projects

In 2016, the Lebanon Police Department launched our “Problem Oriented Policing” initiative within the community. This initiative is a department-wide strategy that is dedicated to identifying and solving persistent community problems. Identified issues can be criminal in nature or quality of life issues that are affecting neighborhoods and areas of the City.

Problem Oriented Policing is an overall philosophy of policing that is practiced by the Lebanon Police Department. However, our program also involves a more directed focus on areas within the City that need more individualized attention. The goal with any of these projects is to identify the problem and then utilize problem solving to bring the issue to a resolution. Below you will find our current and past Problem Oriented Policing Projects.
